P.A.W.S Darwin Website
P.A.W.S. Darwin is a new animal welfare organization in Darwin dedicated to providing care for unwanted and stray animals with the ultimate goal of rehoming these animals to loving families. We also aim to educate the community on animal issues such as the importance of desexing your pet, and this is achieved through school incursions and advertising campaigns.
P.A.W.S Darwin has relocated to 58 Georgina Cresent in Yarrawonga, where we have more room to house, care for and rehome more unwanted animals. We are currently in process of fundraising for more facilities to better house and care for our animals. All donations received during this time are greatly appreciated. Construction of more cat aviaries and dog kennels will hopefully take place in the near future.
All animals sold from P.A.W.S come sterilised (desexed), vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, Wormed, tick treated and heartwormed (dogs only). Animals are sold for the following prices: Kittens $150 Cats (6 months and older) $100, Puppies $250, Dogs (1 year and older) $220, Rabbits $50.
All animals taken in by P.A.W.S. are temperament assessed so that we can identify any potential behavioral problems that may arise. Our volunteer staff are trained to discuss these problems and ways to minimize these with new owners. Great care is taken to ensure that animals are rehomed to a family whose lifestyle and living space are suited to that animals needs.
P.A.W.S Darwin has a no kill policy, which means that once an animal has been accepted by P.A.W.S it will not be euthanased for any reason no matter how long it takes to find the animal a home.
